City & Guilds 7303 PTLLS
The PTLLS Award consists of five sections:
  • Understand your own role and responsibilities and the boundaries of your role in relation to teaching.
  • Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area.
  • Demonstrate session planning skills.
  • Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners.
  • Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping.

Qualification

The qualification is registered on the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), and has a credit value of 6. Future qualifications may include progression onto the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or the Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)

Final Examination

During the qualification learners will produce a portfolio of evidence that will meet the learning outcomes from the five sections listed above. This will consist of 5 theory assessments and 1 practical assessment. The practical assessment consists of one 30 minute micro-teach session delivered as part of the programme, where both tutor and peer feedback will be given.

REQUIREMENTS
  • For Examination purpose - What you must bring
 
 
  • Four passport-sized good quality colour photographs as normally specified for passports. There should be no headgear (except that worn for religious reasons) or sunglasses.
    Items of Identification:
    2 Items from Group A below
    1 item from group A and 2 from Group B     OR 
                             
 
  • Group A
    - Original valid passport (any Nationality)
    - Original UK photo card driving licence
    - Original UK paper driving licence
    - Original Birth certificate issued within 12 months of date of birth
    - Original Valid UK firearms licence
   
 
  • Group B
    - P45 or P60
    - Bank or Building Society statement issued to current address
    - Utility Bill from current address e g Gas/ Electricity/ Telephone
    - An addressed payslip (less than 3 months old)
    - Non original Birth Certificate issued later than 12 months after your date of birth
    - Marriage Certificate
    - Mortgage statement (issued within the last 12 months) or insurance policy at current address (less than 3 months)
    - Financial statement e.g. Pension
    - Multiple bills accepted from different service providers
    - Certificate of British Nationality
    - British work permit or Visa (issued within the last 12 months)
    - Credit card statement from current address (less than 3 months)
    - Any other document to prove current address e.g. NHS card, Vehicle registration document, exam certificate
    - Child benefit book
    - Court summons
    - Letter from Inland Revenue/DWP/Employment service or local authority
    - Original Valid EU photo identity card
  • All stationery will be provided
 
  • VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Failure to bring valid original, correct identification and photographs as specified will result in No examination
